Before I can start putting the prosthesis on I have to get all the tings I need to do so. - -
Then I have to roll up the bandage I'm using to get into the socket. -
Now I have to clean the socket to get rid of the sweat and powder from last time I used it. - -
Here you see how I clean the socket with antiseptic water. - -
Then I put on a sock and trousers on the prosthesis. It's important to check if you have the same color of socks on the prosthesis and your leg. ;-) - -
Then it's the shoe which is put on the prosthesis. I need a tool to get it on. - -
Then I powder the socket. - -
My stump has to be powdered too. I use baby powder. - -
Then I roll the bandage on my stump. It's important to do this very tight. - -
Now the bandage is almost on. - -
Then I drag myself down in the socket. - -
The bandage is drawn trough a hole in the socket an the stump is drawn further and further down in the socket. - -
Protesen er endelig pĺ Finally into place in the socket and the artificial leg is on. - -
Now I have to drag the stocking up on the prosthesis to cover the hole in the socket and then it's on with the trousers. - -
Finally done. - -
